This menu on the Pages main tab contains the commands related to content creation, opening and closing pages, merging, saving pages, assigning content to page/edition/zone/section, preflighting and printing, publishing to Web and other channels, uploading and deleting, properties and other info.

As you can customize the system configuration, your current set-up may be different than the one described in this document.

FUNCTION	DESCRIPTION
New submenu	Cascading menu for creating content
Article...	Create a new article from scratch on the Pages main tab Create an article in Fred4 with text and image elements
Article by Template...	Create a new article from template
Article Template	Create article template
Open submenu	Cascading menu for opening content.
Open/Add in Multi-page	Open selected page(s) in the existing multi-page view, or create a new view if not existing. The same as double-click, unless you configured the double-click to open pages in a new tab.
Open in Multi-page (new)	Open selected page(s) to the new multi-page view even if there's one multi-page view already.
Open in Separate Tabs	Open selected page(s) in separate tabs.
Reopen R/O Page for Editing	Close and reopen the read/only page for editing. Use this if you opened a page only for viewing, because it was in use by another user, and the other user closed the page.
Show Navigator	Show the left navigator pane, if it is hidden.

Close	Close the current content.
Close All	Close all open content.

Merge Content/Move To submenu
Merge Content From...	Display a dialog box to select an article to merge content from. See Merge content ot two or more articles.
Merge Structure From...	Display a dialog box to select an article to merge structure from. See Merge structure of two or more articles.
Merge Content and Structure From...	Display a dialog box to select an article to merge content and structure from.
Move to Another Article...	Display a dialog box to select an article to move content to. See Move article to another article.
Merge To Current Article...	Merge the content of selected wire news (or uploaded stories) to the current article. See Add stories to an article by the merge dialog box.
Merge To New Article...	Merge the content of selected wire news (or uploaded stories) to a new article. See Add stories to the new article by the merge dialog box.
Merge To Specified Article...	Merge the content of selected wire news (or uploaded stories) to a new article. See Add stories to the an article by the merge dialog box.

Save submenu	Cascading menu with save commands.
Save	Save current page. See Save pages.
All Pages in This Tab	Save all pages in the current multi-page view.
Pages/Articles in All Tabs	Save content in all open tabs.
Save Page as XML	Export the page to a XML file. See Export page articles as XML.
Archive Page	Export the page to archive. See Archive a single page. Note: in some versions of menu, this command may be found on the first level of the menu.

Assign submenu
To Edition, To Page, To section, To Zone, To InDesign	Assign the current item (if in focus), or the items selected in navigator (if in focus), to the selected target. See Assign content to paper product and Assign or unassign an article.
Unassign	Unassign the current item (if in focus), or the items selected in navigator (if in focus), from any target. See See Assign content to paper product and Assign or unassign an article.

Audit	Display the Audit panel. See Audit palette.
Versions	Display the Versions palette. See Using article versions.
Web Comments	Display the Web comments palette. See Web Comments.

Preflight and Print submenu	Cascading menu for preflight and print.
Preflight Page	Test page and display the dialog box with results. See Perform a preflight check and other topics in the Preflight of Pages chapter.
Spot Colors	Assign a spot color to a page. See Change page spot color.
Print...	Print page.
Print Listing...	Print listing.
Print Current Element	Print current element.

Publish submenu
Publish...	Display the dialog publish the articles selected in the listing or the current page article. See Publish selected or current content.
Unpublish...	Display the dialog to unpublish the articles selected in the listing or the current page article. See Unpublish content.
Republish...	Display the dialog to publish again the articles selected in the listing or the current page article.
Scheduled publish	Display the dialog to publish at specified time (postponed) the articles selected in the listing or the current page article.
Multiple Crop	Prepare images in the selected or in the current article for Web, displaying the multi-crop dialog box and allowing you to define the crop zone. See Prepare images for Web.
Reset all article's variants	Removes from the current page article all the variants of the images prepared by Multiple crop.
Upload submenu
Upload Any Content / No Converting...	Display the dialog box to upload content "as-is" (no conversion). See Upload content "as-is" in Ted4/Fred4.
Upload Images / Convert to Editorial Image...	Display the dialog box to upload images and convert them to editorial images without displaying crop dialog box. See Upload image and convert it in Ted4/Fred4
Upload Images With Crop / Convert to Editorial Image...	Display the dialog box to upload images and convert them to editorial images with crop dialog box. See Upload image, crop it and convert it in Ted4/Fred4.

Send submenu
Send To...	Display the dialog box to send the current item (if in focus) or the item, selected in Navigator, to a folder of your choice. See Send an article, Send an article element.
Send On...	Display the dialog box to send the current item (if in focus) or the items, selected in Navigator, to the next folder (still allowing a choice of another folder).
Send Back...	Display the dialog box to send the current item (if in focus) or the item, selected in Navigator, to the previous folder (still allowing a choice of another folder).
Send History...	Display the dialog box to send the current item (if in focus) or the item, selected in Navigator, to one of previous folders.

Delete Article	Delete the current article (if possible - you cannot delete article linked to a page or published on Web or other channel). See Delete and undelete an article or element.
Delete Other Content	Delete the non-article content. See Delete an event, Delete contact, Delete a task, Delete user calendar entry.
Undelete	Display the dialog box to undelete the deleted content. See also Locate deleted content and restore in on the Trash can main tab.
Open Recent	Display the list of recently opened items.

Properties submenu
Show	Display the properties dialog box for the items, selected in the listing or on the page. If you selected an article on a page, the properties refer to the article. Unselect all on the open page to display page properties.
Page Workstate, Section, Zone...	Display dialog box to change the page workstate, section or zone.
Page Spot Colors...	Display dialog with the list of page spot colors.
Layers in Use	Display a message about who is using layers.
Show Links	Display links for the current article element. See View where an article element is linked.
