To merge structure from another article
This procedure merges the structure of the selected article to the current article. The current article will get the same structure of the selected article. Local geometries are also copied. All elements in the current article will get the formats of the selected article.
1. | On the File menu, point to Merge, and then click Merge content and structure. |
2. | Select an article to be merged into the current one, and click OK. Confirm when prompted.. |
At this point, Ted4 may prompt you for a confirmation, or not. It depends on your customized script for template application, and on the differences between current article and the template article. There are three possibilities: if the current article contains more elements than the template, Ted4 can remove them without prompting, or can leave them all as they are, or can prompt you to confirm the removal for each element
3. | If and when prompted, select whether you want to remove from the current article the element which does not match with template elements, or not. |
4. | On the File menu, click Save. |
Note
Merge won't merge article attributes.
