DESCRIPTION

Compact Control Palette

Display the combined Control Palette (mixed Character and Paragraph).

Character submenu

Characters Palette...

Display the Character Palette. See Text Font palette (Font), Display Font palette, Apply a font to text, Specify a type size.

Choose Style...

Display the dialog box to choose a character style. Note: you can use the one in the toolbar.

Plain

Set text as plain (removes bold or italic variations). Revert text to plain.

Italic

Set selected text to italic. See Apply or remove italic/boldface.

Bold

Set selected text to bold. See Apply or remove italic/boldface.

Blind

Set selected text to blind (hidden). See Adding or reverting notes mode.

Underline

Set selected text to Underline only. See Underline or strike out of text.

Small Caps

Set selected text to small caps. See Change type case.

All Caps

Set selected text to all caps. See Change type case.

Outline

Set selected text to outline. See Outline characters.

Shadow

Set selected text to shadow. See Apply drop shadow on text.

Web Only

Set selected text to Web only. See Route parts of text only to Web channel.

Print Only

Set selected text to print only. See Route parts of text to a specific channel.

Delete Current Character Style

Delete character style applied.

Expand Character Style

Expand applied character style in tags - allow you to review the style without going to EdAdmin.

Update/Create Character Style From Selection

Update or create character style from selection.

Clear Character Overrides in Selection

Remove all type changes in the selection.

Clear Character and Style Overrides in Selection

Remove all type changes including styles in selection.

Clear Character Overrides in Paragraph

Remove all type changes in the current paragraph.

Clear All Formatting

Remove all formatting.

Delete all your personal notes from text.

Remove All Notes

Delete all personal notes from text, including notes from other users.

Convert selected text in hyperlink.

Insert specified break character in text and changes the text flow.

Insert specified GNML and HTML tag in text.

Fill with...submenu

Selected Element with Placeholder Text, Headline with Highlighted Text, Subheadline with Highlighted Text, Photo Caption with Highlighted Text.

Fill the selected element with dummy text, or copy from the current element, the highlighted text to the specified element.

Insert Auto byline

Insert automatic byline, based on the logon of the current user.

Insert Date

Insert the current date.

Insert Picture Caption

Insert the picture caption.

Insert Rule Filler submenu

Insert, Edit..., Delete

Perform the specified operations on a rule filler in text.

Insert Inline Image submenu

Insert, Edit..., Delete

Perform the specified operations on an inline image in text.

Hor. SHIFT...

Insert horizontal shift on the current position in text.

Select Format...

Display the dialog box to change text format.

Select and Resize

Display the dialog box to change text format and to select number of decks.

Refresh Formats

Reloads all formats from database (useful after a change on the system level).

Pick Formatting

Copy the formatting from the selected text or current paragraph.

Paste Formatting

Apply the copied formatting to the selected text or current paragraph.

Show GNML tags

Display GNML tags in text.
