When you select a font, there's no need to select the font family and its typeface style independently - you select the font, and it determines also the font family and its typeface style.
Apply a font to selected text
Note: if you are on a page in Fred4, double-click the frame to enter the text editing first!
Type some text, select it, and then on the Text Font palette, select the font from the list, or type its ordinal number, and then click OK.
Notes
•To display Fonts palette, see Display Font palette.
•The GN4 font list consists of fonts you installed and imported in GN4. The font name and the internal font code (ordinal number) is displayed for each font.
•When selecting the font, you may also want to choose the type size, horizontal scale, tracking, baseline shift, character case, color, effects, tint and hyphenation rule - they are all in the same palette.
•It is not possible to preview the font while selecting it.
•In GN4 it is not possible to type in the first few characters of the font name you want, or a font number to select a font.
•If there's no selected text when you are selecting the font, the error message is displayed.
