You can mark a selected text to be published only on the specific channel/region.

To route text to a specific region

1.Highlight a text block you want to output in a specific region only.
2.On the Style menu, point to Character, and then click Characters setup.
3.On the Hyp. and notes tab, in Mode, select In region.
4.In Region, expand the media, and then select the region you want.

You cannot mark the same text for more than one specific channel.

To route text to all regions excluding the specific region

1.Highlight a text block you want to exclude from the specific region.
2.On the Style menu, point to Character, and then click Characters setup.
3.On the Hyp. and notes tab, in Mode, select Not in region.
4.In Region, expand the media, and then select the region you want.

Note

You cannot mark the text to be shown in more than one region, while being excluded from other regions. The only available choices are:

- Show text in all regions: that is the default setting for text. If you already regionalized a block of text, and you want to restore it to be show again in all regions, highlight it and then in Mode, select Normal.
- Show text in one region only, and hide it in all other regions: Use the In region setting.

- Show text in all regions except the selected one: Use the Not in region setting.

The "regionalized" block is enclosed in two >rem...< tags. The opening tag has the syntax >rem RegionId,2<. The closing tag is >rem 0,0<. The RegionId is the unique number of the selected region, as specified by the Systems Administrator in the EdAdmin4. Do not change that ID number manually, unless you know by heart the IDs of all defined regions.

Actual channel publishing for channels different than print is handled by the set of export processes on the custom server computer. The print channel is handled automatically, and no server process is needed for it.

About handling hidden text when marking text for a specific channel

When marking text for a specific channel, or unmarking it, the hidden text becomes visible text.
