Start text editing, and then highlight the part of text. Do one of the following: •Click the shadow icon •On the Type menu, point to Character, and then click Outline. Default outline is 100% W. |
The default outline that you activate by clicking the Outline icon, or selecting Outline on the Color and Effects tab has 100% W color. To change the outline color on the highlighted text, in Color, select what you want. To change fill color of the highlighted text, in Supplementary fill/outline color, select what you want. To create hollow outlines, in the Supplementary fill/outline color: outline text fill drop-down list, select [None] color. To remove the outline, click again the outline icon in the toolbar, or deselect Outline box on the Color and effects tab, show above. Note: the outline weight is calculated automatically, and you cannot change it here. If you need to set letter outline with different weight than the default one, then use graphics text frame, or convert text to curves in Fred4, as explained in Duplicate text in a frame to curves.
