Description of fields
•Font: select the font from the list of GN4 installed fonts.
•Type size: enter a value in points or in other measurement unit.
•Base (character width)
In the version 2.1 or older, or if you did not turn on the new functionalities in the version 2.2 or newer: if the Base box is empty, it means that the type width is automatic, i.e. read from the font itself. Enter value in points or in other measurement unit.
Example: 8pt will force the 8pt type width independently of the type size.
In the version 2.2 or newer if you turned the new functionalities: the Base box contains 100% for the standard character base, or percentage value.
•V.Disp (vertical displacement of baseline): 0pt means the baseline is automatic. Enter positive values to shift the type up, and negative values to shift down.
•Track(ing)
In the version 2.1 or older, or if you did not turn on the new functionalities in the version 2.2 or newer: 0pt means the tracking is automatic. Enter positive values to bring characters closer, or negative to make them more distant.
In the version 2.2 or newer if you turned the new functionalities: the Track box contains 0 for automati tracking. Enter -5 to track closer for 5/1000 of EM-space; Enter 10 to track loose for 10/1000 of EM-space
