Typographical Defaults

Build 1501 on 14/Nov/2017  This topic last edited on: 26/Oct/2016, at 16:04

The standard defaults for unformatted text are:

Character defaults

Paragraph defaults

Other defaults are:

Hyphenation defaults

Justification defaults

Character case defaults

XML defaults

Standard defaults handle the typographical characteristics of parts of text that are not explicitly formatted by GNML tags, and can be superseded. Special defaults handle both formatted and unformatted text, and cannot be superseded.

See also Quick sheet of typographical defaults

Notes:

All standard default settings will be automatically used in GNML user-defined tags and GNML styles, unless superseded.

To supersede standard defaults settings in GNML user-defined tags and GNML style, specify an appropriate GNML tag in the style code.

You can't supersede special defaults.

Availability

The defaults are available in a text, only if the format, that contains them, is assigned to a text.
