You set hyphenation defaults in a GN4 format. Defaults are applied on formatted and unformatted parts of text linked to that format.
You cannot override default settings by any local setting in a text.
Defines the list of characters after which the standard hyphen will not be inserted, i.e. characters to be considered as hyphens. The default value is empty. Example •If there's a hyphen sign (minus) in the Breakable chars box, then Stoke-On-Trent is hyphenated on the position of hyphens too, and also on Sto-ke when required. •If there's no hyphen character in the Breakable chars box of format, then Stoke-On-Trent will NOT break on internal hyphens anymore, but will hyphenate on Sto-ke when required. Moreover, the presence of the -Stoke-On-Trent in the hyphenation exception dictionary NOT break word at all. Warning Do not put a space in the Breakable chars box, as lines may not justify to the right edge of the frame and text may appear to be ragged right. |
