Typographical defaults include some frequently needed and other seldomly used settings for default text.
Typographical defaults are classified as character defaults (apply to entire text) and paragraph defaults (apply to entire paragraphs).

| Hyphenation rules: | the hyphenation rules for any unformatted text. |

| Consec. hyph.: | the maximum number of consecutive hyphenated lines. |
| Use letter spacing: | the default value of letters spacing allowed/disallowed in justification. |
| Line spacing: | the default value of word spacing in justification. |
