You can place a graphic (wire image, archived image, editorial image) on a page by drag and drop:
•From a navigator listing on the Editorial, Wires, Tark4, Collections, Content or Clipboard navigator.
•From a results listing on the Shell main tab.
•From the Article pane on the Pages main tab in Fred4.
•From another page opened on the Pages main tab in Fred4.
1.Do one of the following: oOn the Pages main tab in Fred4, click the Editorial, Wires, Tark4, Collections, Content or Clipboard navigator, and then do one of the following: ▪On the Editorial, Wires, Tark4 or Content navigator, enter the search criteria as explained in Entering search criteria, and then perform search. For more information, also look at Search criteria on Content navigator. ▪On the Collections navigator, select the parent to display the content in double-click the tree to display the content of the ▪On the Clipboard navigator, it is assumed that you already added the content to it, as explained in Clipboard navigator. oOn the Shell main tab search for graphics. 2.Locate and select the image you want. |
1.On the Pages main tab, draw an image placeholder and the caption frame. 2.Drag the image over the selected image / placeholder, or image/placeholder and caption frame. 3.If you want to place the picture 'as-is', i.e. not showing the image crop dialog box, press and hold SHIFT and CTRL while dragging the image. 4.The IPTC caption (if any) automatically pasted into it - if you previously enabled the auto-caption personal preference. Note •If you are on the Shell main tab, drag the content over the Pages main tab, hold on a second until it comes to the foreground and then drop as explained above. •If you forget to select the caption frame before dragging image on page, see Add a caption frame to a image. |
When you dragged an image to a page, but you forgot to add the caption frame, and therefore, the image appears without caption, select the image and right-click it, and then select Add Caption Frame to Selected Image(s). Select the position to place the caption frame to. The caption is copied to the frame. |
When you dragged an image to a page, but you forgot to select also the caption frame, and therefore, the caption is not copied to the frame, select both image and caption frame, right-click the image, and then select Add Caption Frame to Selected Image(s). |
