You can place a graphic on a page or in an article or in a publishing destination by drag and drop:
•From a results listing on the Content, Wires, Editorial, Tark4 or Clipboard navigator, or from a listing on the Shell main tab.
•From the Article palette in Fred4 (only on page).
•From another page in Fred4.
Do one of the following: •On the Pages or Articles or Publishing main tab in Ted4 or Fred4, click the Content, Wires, Editorial, Tark4 or Clipboard navigator, and then do one of the following: •On the Navigator, enter the search criteria as explained in Entering search criteria, and then perform search. For more information, also look at Search criteria on Content navigator. •On the Clipboard navigator, it is assumed that you already added the content to it, as explained in Clipboard navigator. •On the Shell main tab search for graphics. Now, locate the content you want and then do one of the following: •On the Articles main tab, select one or more items in the results, and then drag on the empty space of the article tree. This will add items to the article, and also copy IPTC captions (if any) from the graphics and paste them into media captions. •On the Pages main tab, select one image and drag it on the page, over an existing image or placeholder, or placeholder and caption frame. Fred4 may prompt you to replace the selected object(s) with the image. If you don't want to do that, just click No, and then click where you want to drop the image in the default size on the page. If you accept the replacement, the image can change size according to your choices or preferences. See Controlling image replacing behavior on page for details. Depending on your image captions preferences (Edit > Preferences > Extra > Added Objects), a caption frame may be added and the IPTC caption (if any) automatically pasted into it. Moreover, if you drag more images over more placeholders and captions, all images are placed at once. See also Working with image captions, and Replacing a graphic on page with another from the same article. Note Placeholders won't work when placing images with clipping path. •On the Publishing main tab, drag items onto a destination tab (ensure that the destination is checked-out by you). •On the Shell main tab, drag the content over the target main tab (Articles, Pages or Publishing), hold on a second until it comes to the foreground and then drop as explained above.
