Underline, underscore

A rule or line set below the type. Also Underline

Underset

Text that is shorter than its assigned space; also, the missing number of lines.

Undo

Cancel - revoke one or more operations.

Unicameral

An alphabet (such as Arabic or Hebrew) with only one case. Compare bicameral.

Units

Measurement type, e.g. pt or mm.

Unspiking

Opposite to deleting: reverting the status of 'hidden' items in the database, to visible again.

Up style

Editing style calling for extensive use of capital letters; opposite of downstyle

Uppercase

The large, capital letters of a typeface. Derives from early printing, when these letters were stored in the upper part of a printer's typecase.

URL

Universal Resource Locator. An address used to define a World Wide Web resource. The format consists of service + hostname + port number + path/file name. For Web pages, the service is usually http and the port number is usually not needed.
