First of all, it may be worthwhile to perform all checks explained in Steps for general malfunctioning of GN4.
IIS or Back4 server
1.Firstly, restart service on the GN4 server, e.g. Back4 service, or Exalead service.
2.If this does not help, recycle application pool in IIS on the GN4 server.
3.If this does not help, reset IIS on the GN4 server.
4.If this does not help, consider to reboot the GN4 server.
5.If this does not help, consider reloading configuration files you suspect may be causing problems, or all configuration files.
6.If this does not help, consider deleting Framework temporary files.
7.If this does not help, consider reinstalling GN4.
8.If this does not help, consider reinstalling Framework.
9.If this does not help, consider removing latest Windows updates or reinstall the server.
Exalead server does not respond
1.Firstly, restart Exalead service on the Exalead server and make sure no other software is using ports, dedicated to Exalead.
2.If this does not help, consider to reboot the GN4 server.
3.If this does not help, consider removing latest Windows updates or recently installed server software
4.If this does not help, consider reinstalling Exalead.
Exalead searches do not work
1.Firstly, restart Exalead service on the Exalead server and make sure no other software is using ports, dedicated to Exalead.
2.If this does not help, consider to reboot the GN4 server.
3.If this does not help, consider scratching and rebuilding indexes.
4.If this does not help, consider removing latest Windows updates or recently installed server software.
5.If this does not help, consider reinstalling Exalead.
