Delete a non-shared layer

1.On the Pages main tab with a page open, on the Layers palette, select the layer you want to delete.

2.Check-out the list of layers.

3.Right-click a layer and then select Delete.

Delete a shared layer (unshare)

1.On the Pages main tab with a page open, on the Layers palette, select the layer you want to delete and make sure that it reads <checked-out>.

layers_checkedout

If you read <free> instead, double-click it to check-out. If you see someone else's name, ask that user to yield a layer.

2.Check-out the list of layers.

3.Right-click a layer and then select Delete.

The layer is deleted from this page, but not from other pages where it was shared.

Notes

Even if a layer has the same name but different id on different pages, it is a different layer. Thus, deleting such layer do not affect other pages. That's not the case if the layer has the same id - that's a layer shared among pages.

_info2 You cannot delete the only layer.
