On the Layers palette, review the Lck column in the row of the current layer. If it shows a small padlock icon, double-click it. Now, the layer that is still checked out by you, is not locked anymore. Double-click the string <checked-out> in the In use by column in the row of the current layer. The label switches to <free>. The layer is now ready for ant other users to edit it. |

Now, the layer that is still checked out by you, and it is is also locked by your lock level. Double-click the string <checked-out> in the In use by column in the row of the current layer. The label switches to <free>. The layer is now ready for other users to edit it, but only if those users have the lock level at least the same as yours or higher. Only these users will be able to check-out and unlock the layer. All other users will be able to check it out, but not to unlock it. |
