Use the article source pane to edit text in the source mode. It displays text galley, and you can edit and format text by styles and keys, and/or view/edit tags. The source pane displays all article elements, being linked to page or not. Elements are displayed one below each other. When the article tree is hidden, it is recommended to display element names in the source splitters to know what element you are editing. The procedure to display or hide type labels is explained in Show or hide element names in splitter.

To view the link status of the elements, display the article tree. To display the article tree, on the Window menu, point to Palettes, and then click Article tree.
