Select the content of a single cell

Drag over it.

Select the content of more cells

Drag horizontally over the cells. The content of selected cells is highlighted (if there's any content in the cells). If the cells are empty, they are still selected, but there's no visible sign about it.

Select the content of entire column

It is not possible to select the content of entire column for editing purposes. To format the content of entire column, right click anywhere in the column, select Edit column, and then under Attributes click Paragraph or Text, and select what you want. When you close both dialog boxes, the content of the entire column is reformatted.

Select the content of more adjacent columns

Drag horizontally over the columns.

Select the content of more adjacent rows

Drag vertically over the rows.

Select the content of the entire table

Right-click in a table and then select Table content.
