The automated page make-up (APM) automatically places layouts on pages of the given APM category, with the advertisement already in place.

The layouts are taken from the APM object libraries, prepared before hand for the given paper product.

In the default working mode (by page) APM processes all the pages belonging to a specific APM category, only the opened pages, or only the current page, and also:

Selects a library object, that fits the free space (Editorial Hole) on the page, as long it was not overused,

Checks if for that library object exists at least one article for each logical group in the object

Checks if those articles correspond to the LG structure (having the same article elements)

Checks if those articles have a same or close capacity, within specified tolerance, of the LGs.

APM attracts the appropriate articles to the article layouts, and completes the pages performing the content fitting.

IMPORTANT: This assumes that the supplied articles have the structure and quantities of words/characters and images compatible with the pre-prepared shapes.

If that is so, the APM dramatically shortens the make-up of the pages. The software makes up each page in about 5-15 seconds.

Some limitations

APM processes only the editorial content, precisely articles with the linked images.

APM does not handle the wires content, classified ads etc.

APM works only with print products and not with other channels such as Web publishing, syndication etc.
