You can access the APM menu from the main menu bar, or by right-clicking the APM icon in the main toolbar.
Important: the APM functions work only if there's at least one page open and in focus.

Run Automated Page Make-Up...
Display the Automated Page Make-up dialog box to select the run parameters, and then start the APM session. See Methods to run APM.
Unlink Editorial Content...
Display the Unlink Editorial Content dialog box to select the run parameters, and then start the APM unlink session. See Methods to unlink editorial APM content.
Display Last Report
Display the last APM report in your default text editor. Use it to review the last APM report. You can also open the reports looking into your Documents folder.
Show Next Not-fitting Article
Select the next not fitting article on the current or on the next open page, and zoom to it.
Preferences...
Display the preferences dialog box to review and change the preferences.
Restructure LG
Perform the restructuring of the currently selected logical group after bouncing. It checks that no objects are shorter than the specified minimum - hard coded as 24pt.
Show Page Free Space...
Display the menu with choices, and then display the colored box or frame over the free space.
Show Object Library
Show the name of the library that contains objects that would fit the empty space on page, if any. If no library was found for the given empty space, the message is displayed.
Show Capacity of Selected Frames
Show the capacity in words and characters of the selected frames, or of the selected text flow (if one of the selected frames belongs to an empty linked text). It works only for the unlinked frames, or for empty linked texts.
Show LGs Count
Counts the LGs on the current page and selects them one by one. Use it to check if the page objects are correctly assigned to the logical groups.
Show LG APM Structure String
Shows the structure of the currently selected LG on page.
Show Article APM Structure String
Shows the structure of the currently selected article in the editorial listing. To see the structure of the article, selected on the page, press A to display the Article palette.
Count Characters Capacity (Head etc.)
Display the number of characters that can fit the headline frame, currently in editing.
Test Apply Styles
Perform the application of the text formatting, as specified in the selected frame. It works only on page, and not in the object library window.
Test Fit Single Frame
Perform fitting of the single frame, as specified in the selected frame. It works only on page, and not in the object library window.
Test Fit Current Article
Perform fitting of the entire current article, selected on the page. It works only on page, and not in the object library window.
