Highlights for the version 2.3

•Optimizations: faster client startup, optimized check-out/in of page and layers, speed up start of text editing in page.

•Implemented new transparent soft shadow management in Fred4 viewer and PDF print. No more spikes with complex shapes, full blur accuracy (no more "slices" effect) from color to color (even transparent). Blur quality can be defined from client into edit preferences or by print preset: it uses the Color Image Resolution as quality reference. •New full-text search engine Solr. New semantic processor Stanbol.

•Formatting: auto-leading, filter list of formats by area width too, toolbar combo to select and apply formats.

•Drag and drop: You can drag an image from disk over Fred page and have it placed automatically. Drag more images from disk over article tree in Ted and have them added to the article. You can drag and drop an image from disk over the upload form too.

•Preview: Full screen preview for media elements, Web preview on the Article main tab as mobile.

•i4: generic way to add any article element, display extDoc (indesign) documents, workflow for creating articles with media, Add a splitter between the article editor and preview to allow relative resizing, Advanced operator for fulltext searches, insert HTML tags in article text, made the ckeditor personalized per user,  unlock functionality added, show info in the history dialog),  url redirect after workflow completion, increased and globally configurable number of results, direct download of images, stories and other archive objects.

•Indesign: Easier copy function, publish to Web from InDesign, upgrade the documents.

•Media galleries: number of improvements.

•Pages: better graphics text frames on low zoom, better tables view, quick way to copy articles with shapes right on page, quick align text in frame by toolbar.

•Linking Assistant: a quicker way to locate suitable articles for the shapes on page. See Linking Assistant.

•Server: create variants on the fly via url, extend audit to have custom actions, generate page previews with only editorial or ads layer. Generate preview with alpha channel for images with clipping path

•Tables in text: number of improvements.
