Create and edit a story

Build 1501 on 14/Nov/2017  This topic last edited on: 21/Sep/2016, at 15:21

Note: a story differs from an article because you cannot paginate directly a story, but only a story that has been converted into a GN4 article.

Create a story in GN4 browser

1.Launch your Web browser and connect to the GN4 Web server.

2.Sign in with your GN4 user name and password (if prompted to do so).

3.On the Home main tab, on the menu bar, under New menu, select Story.

webbrowser_newstory

4.In Title, enter the story title (it is also used for the name and the headline of the GN4 article should you want to convert the story in a GN4 article)

5.In Authors, enter the author name and enter data in other fields (if any; the form layout depends on your system's configuration).

6.Write text in the white zone below the toolbar. See also Features in the Web Text Editor.

7.Under Select Folder, click the icon_crop icon and then select the folder where the story will be saved.

8.Optionally, on other tabs of the form, enter/review story metadata. See also Enriching content for further information.

9.Click OK to close the form and create the story.

Bug fixing

Since build 1.6.1927.x, the ckEditor is updated to the 3.6.6.1 version. This fixes the issue of the 8 key not working in the IE10 native mode. If after the upgrade it still does not work, then press CTRL-F5 in the edit dialog. This will force the page to be reloaded instead of using the cached one.
