Ingest content (hot folders)

You can ingest content through a series of hot-folders, watched by the queues of the Back4 service.

A queue is typically dedicated to ingest a specific content, e.g. wire text. This is particularly true when the ingested content needs to be converted in another format, or automatically pre-formatted. In such case, you may need an individual queue for each type of text conversion.

You can however use a single queue to ingest content that does not need to be converted by special rules, e.g. images, audios, videos, documents and similar.

Back4 service in GN4 is dedicated to receive content from outside, either through files (FTP or other means), RSS feeds, e-mails and similar.

The content received is stored in GN4 folders, and appears to users in the same way and form as content, manually created by local users.
