The typographical baseline grid makes sure that all text lines are aligned one to each other within linked text frames, as long as text frames are vertically aligned.
You can create the typographical baseline grid on the format level, or on the style level.
Note: This affects only texts flowing in a linked or local geometry. It does nothing on texts without any geometry.
The typographical and the page baseline grid, when set correctly, act together for a perfect alignment. Thus, after setting up the typographical baseline grid, set up also the page baseline grid.
