Page Baseline Grid

The page baseline grid makes easier that top and bottom edges of all text frames are vertically aligned. This allows that text lines get aligned within linked text frames, as long as text format or styles define a typographical baseline grid.

You can set the page baseline grid on a master level, or on a layer level, by using vertical nudge. See Differences between modules- and nudge-level grid and Differences between master- and layer-level baseline grid.

Grid created on master level applies on all pages associated to that master, unless the current layer has a layer-level grid.

_important The page baseline grid and the typographical baseline grid act together for a perfect alignment. Thus, after setting up the page baseline grid, set up also the Typographical baseline grid.
