Apply (assign) master to a page

You can apply a master to a page in two places in Fred4: on the Editions main tab, or from the Masters navigator of the Pages main tab.

To apply a master to the current page on the Pages main tab of Fred4

From the Masters navigator, drag a master to a page.

To apply a master to the selected page(s) on the Editions main tab of Fred4

1.On the Page Data palette, under Master, select a master.

2.Click the ok_icon icon.

Note: there's no need to check-out pages first.

To unassign a master from a page

Simply assign another master. Note: a page must have a master assigned.

Notes

To display the Masters navigator, click Masters navigator on the Pages navigator.

To switch from a single master page to a double master page (spread) or viceversa, see Converting two single pages to a spread and Converting spread to two single pages.

About Auto-single and Auto-double masters

Auto-single master assigns the default master marked with L to even pages, and R to odd pages in the selection.

Auto-double masters assigns the double master to pages in selection.
