Create a master

1.Open an edition on the Editions main tab in Fred4.

2.Right-click anywhere on the list of masters and then click New master. The new master is created with the predefined name Other, the Generic default type, and J format. See also Master types and Masters and typographical formats.

3.Use the Master data palette to change the master name, write an optional description, select the type (generic, automatic left, automatic right, automatic double), as well as format for local texts.

4.Use the Geometry data palette, to select a preset (if any suitable), or to select User defined, and then to specify all layout data.
