Sharing all or parts?

Editorial content may be shared in various way. Here are the main four ways.

Sharing all content (editorial and ads)

This means that on the source page and on the all target page(s) everything will be exactly the same. Moreover, it means that you accept that any change applied on the shared layer will propagate on all pages that share this layer.

PREREQUISITES: The editorial and advertising content must be all on one layer. The regions of the source page and all target pages must be the same.

Sharing entire editorial content, but not advertising

PREREQUISITES: The editorial content must be all on one layer. Ads must be on a separate layer. The regions of the source page and all target pages must be the same.

PROCEDURE: See Share a layer with a page in another edition, and apply it only on the editorial layer.

Sharing part of editorial page (single region)

It's similar to the previous one, with the difference that editorial content is distributed on two editorial layers instead on one.

PREREQUISITES: The editorial contents must be all on two editorial layers. The content to be shared should be on the second editorial layer, and the local content should be on the first editorial layer. The regions of the source page and all target pages must be the same.

PROCEDURE: See Share a layer with a page in another edition, and apply it only on the second editorial layer.

Sharing entire editorial page or parts of it (multiple regions)

To create multiple geometries, the region of the source page must not include the zone of the target pages.

PREREQUISITES: There must exist more zones and more regions. Editorial content must be all on one editorial layer. The regions of the source page and target pages must be the different.

PROCEDURE: See Share a layer with a page in another edition, and apply it only on the editorial layer. After that, change its region, and then save the page. Confirm you want to create new geometry.
