The following procedure creates a target edition that is an exact duplicate of the source edition.
To duplicate an edition with all the articles and images
1.On the Editions main tab, select the source edition in the editions navigator. Make sure that the source edition is not opened by you.
2.On the Edition menu, click New from, and then wait until new edition appears. If the source edition is huge, it may take 10-20 seconds.
3.Save the new edition, and then wait until the Articles Copy dialog appears. If the source edition is huge, it may take 10-20 seconds.
4.On the Articles Copy dialog decide the strategy to apply on the articles duplicates (add suffix or prefix to article names, or change the folder) and then click OK.
Notes
When you decide to duplicate all content in an existing edition, be aware of the following:
•A new edition will be an exact duplicate of the source edition, with all the pages.
•The articles linked to the source edition will be duplicated so you will be able to edit them without affecting the articles in the source edition.
•The images and ads, linked to the source edition, will be referenced again in the duplicated edition (will be not duplicated themselves, but you will be able to make local changes e.g. rotate, crop or zoom images without affecting the images in the source edition).
•The local text on the source pages is duplicated automatically on the copied pages (no need for any user intervention).
