To prepare, for example, city guide pages for 7 days in advance, do following:
STEP 1 - CREATE AN "ADVANCED" EDITION
1.Select a suitable edition template in the editions navigator. Take care that the template has the same masters as the future final edition, to be able to use the same grid as in the final edition.
2.On the Edition menu, click New from and then wait until new editions appears.
3.Save the new edition with an appropriate name and date.
STEP 2 - MAKE UP PAGES IN THE "ADVANCED" EDITION
Make up the pages of the Advanced edition. Don't care about page numbering, it'll be set right when the layers of those temporary pages would be moved to the daily edition.
STEP 3 - MOVE EDITORIAL LAYERS FROM THE "ADVANCED" TO THE THE "DAILY" EDITION
1.On the Editions tab, open the "Daily" edition.
2.Open the "Advanced" edition, and then double-click the edition tab to tile tabs vertically.
3.Locate the "advanced" page you want to move and the expand it to display its layers.
4.Press SHIFT, and drag its layer over the desired page of the "daily" edition - the layer is moved to the final edition.
5.You may want to change the layer name - as it keeps the original name. See Rename a layer.
6.Delete the remaining page in the advanced pages edition.
Notes
1.If your personal preference for auto check-out is set (Edit > Preferences > Try auto check-out on d&d) , there's is no need to check-out the target page, otherwise right-click it and check it out.
