On the Editions main tab

1.Do one of the following:

•On the Pages tab, select and expand a page, and then select a layer.

•On the Layers tab, select a layer.

2.On the Layer Data palette, in Name, enter the new name, and then click .

Note

If the Layer Data palette is not displayed, on the Window menu, point to Palettes and then click Layer Data. The palette appears in the right sidebar. If the sidebar is not expanded, click the expander button  close to the top right corner of the main window.

On the Pages main tab

1.On the Layers palette, click the List Lock button.

2.Right click the layer you want to rename, and then select Edit Data.

3.In Name, enter the new name for the layer.

4.Click OK.

5.Click the List Lock button again to check-in the list.

Note

If the Layers palette is not displayed, on the Window menu, point to Palettes and then click Layers. The palette appears on screen (floating).
