The XML output automatically replaces the GNML tags in text when a text is used in Web publishing, or exported to Tark4 archive.
XML output string is a collection of XML tags and operators.
An example of a XML output string is:
<head>#T</head>.
This correspond to any sequence of GNML tags which do not contain any Bell character.
Note
The meaning of <head> is defined in the CSS stylesheets.
If a GNML style contains one Bell character for cascading styles, e.g. a headline style where a Bell switches from bold to plain in the headline, then the XML output string is:
<head>#T<plain>#T</plain></head>
As you can see, another #T stands for a Bell placeholder.
If there would be more Bell characters, add one #T for each.
Enter XML output strings in EdAdmin4, separately for each GNML style. On the format level, enter XML output strings in the default attributes.
Create XML output strings during the editing of GNML tags and styles. The XML output strings are stored in together with styles in the libraries of styles and formats.
The XML output strings are available in a text, only if the format, that contains them, is assigned to a text.
