To create a generic table from an existing text

1.On a page or in the text editor, select the text you want to convert to a table.

2.Make sure that the columns are separated by tabs (character chr(9)) and that the selection includes the last row paragraph sign ¶.

3.On the Tables menu, click Insert Table.

Note: this creates a generic table with all columns equal, all columns aligned in the same way and no other formatting.

To create a generic table by pasting it from an existing external text

1.On a page or in the text editor, select the text you want to convert to a table, eg. in Notepad, Word, Excel, or similar, and then copy it to the clipboard.

2.On the Edit menu, select Paste with tabs.

3.Ensure that the last row ends with a paragraph sign ¶.

4.Select all rows (including the ¶ of the last row) and then on the Table menu, click Insert Table.
