On the Articles main tab in Ted4 or in Fred4, with an article open, switch to source view or to split view. See Switch between views.

On the View menu, click Show GNML.

To display tags by default in each text

On the Edit menu, click Preferences, and then on the Source tab / Display sub-tab, click Show markup.
