To find or replace formatting (GNML tags)

1.Ensure first that they are displayed in text.

2.Insert tags in the Find or Replace box, by using the same tag insertion command you use to insert tags in the text. In the standard configuration, it is attached to the key F9.

3.Insert what you want in the Replace box. If you insert nothing, the found tags will be simply deleted from text

About partial search

Partial search is not available for tags by this method. See Replace/delete special characters, tags and text by scripting for the instructions how to do it by custom scripts.

Note about replacing font styles

When replacing font styles, e.g. bold with bold-italics, have in mind that more than one replacement may be required. See the example below:

ted_boldrepl

The word España was bolded as >bd 1<España>bd 0<. If you want to put it in bold italics in the entire text, you will have to replace >bd 1< with >bd 1<>it 1<. Then, it will look like

>bd 1<>it 1<España>bd 0<

But, this will also cause all text after the word to go into italics (since there's no >it 0< closing tag). Thus, replace >bd 0< with >bd 0<>it 0< too.
