Disable hyphenation in text

The hyphenation in text is typically enabled/disabled either in the text format, and/or in the paragraph style applied on text paragraphs (if any), and/or by the Paragraph palette setting.

The hyphenation is not automatically turned off when you select the "Left" as paragraph alignment.

If the hyphenation is turned on or off on the level of text format, text paragraph style and/or palette and the settings are conflicting one with each other(e.g. one turns the hyphenation off while another turns the hyphenation on), the priority is the following:

Palette hyphenation setting (it overrides both the paragraph style settings and format settings)

Paragraph style hyphenation setting (it overrides the format settings)

Format hyphenation setting
