You can define one set of attributes for a text, marked for the currently selected channel, e.g. Web, and another set of attributes for a text marked for all other channels but current. Text that is not marked for any channel typically appears in default color and character attributes. You cannot assign a color to a specific channel.
These settings apply only to the text source pane.
On the Edit menu, select Preferences, click the Source tab and then click the Colors tab.
To define attributes for the currently selected channel, click In region, and then select the foreground color, the background color, strike-out and/or underline. To activate the background color, select Use background color.
To define attributes for all other channels but the current one, click Out region, and then select the attributes as explained above.
To define attributes for the text not marked for any channel, click Standard text, and then select the attributes as explained above.
It is not possible to assign a color to a specific channel. In other words, if you desire to have text for the Web channel on the red background, text for the print channel on the gray background, and text for both channels on the white background, it can't be done. It is recommended to use gray background for the text marked for the current channel, and gray foreground + strike-out for the text marked for all other channels but current. This provides a good distinction between all three variants. The hidden text within a channelled text is displayed with own attributes. |
