Since the version 2.2, Fred4 supports the selecting of the overmatter (overset) text when editing text on a page. Press the CTRL+A keys to select all visible and overmatter text. The visible text is highlighted.
Now, you can apply a typographical change, such as reduce the type size, the leading or the tracking, and the overmatter text will be brought into view.
What's not supported?
•You cannot use mouse to highlight the overmatter text. You can, however, select the overmatter text also by mouse in the sidebar source pane.
•When an article flows over more than one page, the highlight stops on the current page and does not proceed to the next page. However, the entire text would be selected and changed if you apply a typographical change.
