GN4 supports a variety of standard measurement units, e.g. picas and points, ciceros and didots, millimeters, inches and similar, including two user-defined measurement units.

You can select different units for rulers and four palettes: measurement palette, area palette, rules palette and runaround palette. For example, you can use picas for horizontal ruler, inches for vertical rules, and points for measurement palette or rules palette. Anyway, the selected measurement system is palette-based, and it will be common for all pages and masters.

If you change later the default measurement units, it won't affect the position of guides and objects.

The selected measurement units are per-user setting, so every user can have different setup
