STANDARD UNITS

ma thousand of "point", calculated as 1/72270 inch, or 0.003514598035 mm.
This is default for typographical values of GNML tags, entered by means of dialog boxes and panels during text editing, except if you enable a different default unit, as explained in Millipoints or default unit when using palettes. Please have in mind that the actual value of 'm' unit is independent of the settings in point value.
pcpica, e.g. 12pt.
ptpica point
Its value depends on the BigPoints setting. If BigPoints = True when you created an object of 1pt size, it will correspond to 1004m or about 0.353mm. If BigPoints = False, 1pt corresponds to 1000m, and to about 0.351mm. See Selecting a point value.

dddidot point.
Equal to 0.3759 mm, or 1/72 of a French Royal inch (27.07 mm), or about 1/68 inch. Didot points are used in Europe. This unit is named after the French printer François Ambroise Didot (1730 - 1804) who defined the "point-based" typographical measurement system.

app.defaultIf you select this, the palette will use the measurement unit specified in the application preferences.

COLUMN AND MODULE RELATED UNITS

ncol column width, with special handling of column gutters. Not available to be selected as default units in palettes, but you can enter it as a value, e.g. 3nmod.
nmod module height, with special handling of modules gutter. Not available to be selected as default units in palettes, but you can enter it as a value, e.g. 2nmod.
