Create a local text

On a page, opened in Fred4, create a text frame as explained in Create objects manually, and then double-click it or press the Spacebar key.
Begin typing. This fills the frame with the local text.
Note
When you create a local text in the library window, before opening the frame for the first time, you are prompted to choose the format for the new local text.
When you create a local text on a page or on a master page, it gets the typographical format of the master page associated with the page.
