The Collections main tab is available in Ted4 and Fred4.

Use it to organize text stories, images, audios, videos and documents into permanent or temporary collections. The eligible content is: stories, images, audios, videos, packages and documents. You cannot store articles, editorial images etc.

Collections allow you to organize content before using it. For example, a wire scroller puts in the "News" collection all the wire news that may be interesting for the "News" section. Or, the image editor puts in the "Today" collection all the wire images, or the images, received from collaborators. In that way, the editorial staff works with these pre-selections, instead with all received content, and that increases the work efficiency.

Unlike clipboard, collections are persistent between sessions.

The Collections main tab is especially designed to:

Simply add and remove content to and from predefined collections.

Create new collections for yourself or for other users (if allowed to do so).

Move content from one collection to another.

Preview the content in a collection.

The Collections main tab typically consists of:

A collapsible Navigators/Trees, typically shown on the left side of the main window.

Multiple listings.

A collapsible Preview, typically vertically tiled with the listings zone.
