In this dialog box you can set the personal preferences related to the editing of text in the Source pane.

Display sub-tab

Preference

Comment

Show markup

Select, to have markup displayed on the source pane. Markup is never displayed on the WYSIWYG pane or on page.

Default font and size

Default font is used for special markers, or for draft text display, when Use video fonts is unticked). Select the size suitable to have text lines correctly wrapped in the default column width, when using interactive justification.

Src pane pixel margin

Left margin in pixels (just for display).

Characters per line when not justified

Select how many characters you allow in one line, when working with unjustified text (e.g. 60). This simulates the obsolete typewriter sheets.

Caret width / overwrite

Specify the width of I-beam in standard mode (insert), and in overwrite mode (typically larger). To select the speed of I-beam blinking, use the Microsoft Windows preferences. Non-blinking I-beam is not supported.

Use video font

Enable to have the WYSIWYG font in the source pane (in the WYSIWYG pane or on page, all the fonts are always the actual print fonts).

Colors sub-tab

Standard text

Select foreground color for normal text. It is recommended not to set background color, nor strikeout, not underline for this option.

Markup

Select foreground / background color for markup tags (when displayed). It is recommended not to set strikeout, nor underline for this option.

HTML

Select foreground /background color for HTML tags in text. It is recommended not to set strikeout, nor underline for this option.

In region

Select color and other options to display text that is published in the current region.

Out region

Select color and other options to display text that is hidden from the current region.

Notes mode

Select color and other options to display text that is hidden in the notes mode level (1-255). Click Add to add more levels.

Versions

Not used.

Window background color

Select color for the background of the source pane.
