The right sidebar of the Pages main tab is a fixed width vertical zone on the right side of the content tab, that typically contains - when editing pages - the docked page editing palettes, and - when editing text on pages - the docked text formatting palettes.
The actual content of the sidebar is based on your personal preferences.
The sidebar may be expanded, or collapsed. On the following screenshot, the right sidebar is expanded, but all palettes, except first three, are collapsed.
To collapse / expand the right sidebar
To collapse the sidebar, click the > top right button. To expand, click the < top right button.
Note: the sidebar with page editing palettes can be expanded only if a page is loaded, and with text formatting palettes only if a text is in editing.
To display all palettes in the sidebar, if it's empty
For page editing palettes: on the Window menu, point to Palettes Sidebar, and then select Open all palettes.
For text formatting palettes: on the Window menu, point to Palettes Sidebar, point to Text Editing, and then select Open all palettes.
To add a palette in the sidebar, if the palette is not displayed on the screen
On the Window menu, point to Palettes Sidebar, and then select the palette.
To move a palette in the sidebar, if the palette is floating or docked elsewhere
Right click the name bar of the palette (e.g. where it appears the palette name), and then select Dock right.
To collapse /expand a palette in the sidebar
Double-click the palettes name bar.
