The Layout tab of the preferences dialog box on the Pages main tab in Fred4 contains display preferences for the display of pages in a multi-page view.

All the preferences are personal (per-user) setting. Click the preference name for the further information (where available).

Preference	Description
[list]	Select the layout
Name	Enter the name of the new layout
Reset all on OK	Return to factory values
Columns	Enter number of columns in layout.
Facing mode	Select, if your edition is composed of single pages, and you want to display them as facing. Clear it, if your pages use double master.
Pasteboard size	Enter values of the pasteboard (total area in which a page is displayed). Increase values to get more space between pages.
Pasteboard extra spacing	Add more space between displayed pages
