The Display tab of the preferences dialog box on the Pages main tab in Fred4 contains the display preferences.

All the preferences are personal (per-user) setting. Click the preference name for the further information (where available).

Preference	Description
Show images	Tick, to render the images and not only the placeholders.
Show text frames	Tick, to display the borders of text frames. Note: borders are always displayed on empty frames.
Show text information	Tick, if you want the page display to default to the "tracking mode".
Show type labels	Tick, to display type labels on the frames by default.
Show format labels	Tick, to display format labels on the frames by default.
Hide non printable elements	Tick, to display only printable elements. Untick, to display all page elements.
Show element hot-spot	Tick, to show reference point on all elements.
Display page rulers	Tick, to display page rulers
Greek text below	Specify the minimum type size of text under which it turns greeked.
Guides/frames limit	Specify the minimum zoom limit under which the guides auto-hide.
Transparency optimize	Select the transparency quality.
Zoom default /step	Select the default zoom on opening and step for zoom step.
Video color profile	Select an ICC color profile to adjust colors display. Note: the selected ICC profile must be installed on all PCs where you intend to work with your logon.
Images quality	Select the quality for images on page (thumbnail, preview, original)
