Create a title or publication

In EdAdmin4

1.Run EdAdmin4, and then in the Editorial Objects section, click Titles.

2.On the Action menu, click New Title, or New Publication. See About titles and publications to learn the difference.

3.On the General tab, in Name, enter an unique name.

4.In Description, enter an optional description.

5.In Access permissions, click the ico_addkeyword icon, and then on the Security list, select a group or an user.

6.On the Access list, select a preset, or select permissions by clicking buttons.

Note: the steps from 7 through 9 are available only for the titles, and not when creating a publication.

7.In Typography, select the typography. WARNING: Once you confirmed the creation of a new title, you cannot change its typography anymore, unless deleting and recreating the title.

8.In Page to plate deadline gap enter the time gap needed to plate a page (this is needed by deadline engine).

9.Should you need to change the default naming convention for editions, pages, documents and budgets, on the related tabs enter new patterns. See Editorial objects names.

In browser

1.Run Administrative Browser, and then on the Home page, click Titles.

2.On the Titles pane, click New Title or Publication. See About titles and publications to learn the difference.

Note

Permissions on titles are inherited by all the editions you create for that title. Make sure that you set the appropriate permissions when creating the title and in any case before you create any edition or template.

Once you created a new title, you cannot change its typography anymore, unless deleting and recreating the title.
