You display tracked pages in Tracy as a "tracking information" view or as WYSIWYG view. This is controlled by the Edit > Preferences > Show text/image information. If you select the option, pages are displayed with tracking information (colored areas with labels), otherwise they're displayed as WYSIWYG.
Tracking information view
WYSIWYG view
Pages are displayed all at once.
You can order tracked pages by number, by deadline, section, zone, or in other ways (see To order pages for further details), and display details about pages.
Tracked pages are refreshed automatically.
Tracking information view in Tracy provides a quick overview of the element status on all layers of all pages, and of the page closing status too.
Tracking layout window usually contains more pages (of the same or different editions).
Each page contains text and graphic elements, list of layers and page caption. Right-click the page to hide or display page layers.
In the tracking view, the text elements are displayed as colored areas (in the color of the actual workstate). The first frame in the flow is marked with a down arrow symbol q, while the last element is marked with p. A frame which is only in its flow, contains them both.
The border color of elements on the tracked page depicts further details about their status.
•Text frames: the color of text frames border depends on the fit status of the associated story.
•Images: the color of image border depends on whether the image is a dummy or is available.
•The page frame color corresponds to the workstate color.
Each user can select own combination of colors, but it's usual to use blue for fitting/not dummy, and red for non-fitting/dummy. See To modify view colors for the procedure.
