To split a single frame in default columns

Create a frame as wide at the total width of all the columns you want to create and as high as the highest column, or select an appropriate single frame to be split.

On the Tools menu, point to Split, and then click Split Default, or press S.

The columns are aligned to the page column grid.

Note:

The S key won't work on already split frames.
