You can split one or more selected frames on a page in columns, or in a combination of columns, a headline frame and an intro frame. Moreover, you can split, in more pieces, image placeholders, boxes and rules.
Splitting frame in columns
All the columns split from a frame have the same height, equal to the height of original frame, and the same width. The width of the columns may correspond to the page column grid or may be off-grid. In either case, the columns, created by splitting, are independent frames, thus they can be transformed or linked independently.
The frame splitting is the basic procedure to create newspaper's columns for any text.
